Secondment: Shanil Gandhi visits TU/e

Shanil Gandhi (ESR 11), who is based at SuperCol partner BluSense Diagnostics, visited TU/e to work with Bahar Rouhvand (ESR 14) under the supervision of principal investigator Ilja Voets. They optimized the immobilization of super-paramagnetic nanoparticles onto a substrate and then characterized the number of active sites using the PROTEIN-PAINT super-resolution microscopy technique. Shanil further used the particles to visualize the distribution of proteins using DNA-PAINT.
