Workshop on modelling of particle interactions
SuperCol recently organized its 2nd workshop, on the modelling of particle interactions. All ESRs in SuperCol will use nano- and microparticles, which are exciting for biomedical applications due to the large surface area they exhibit that can drive interactions with biomolecules and cells. Tuning these interactions is only possible when we understand the main players (forces) that determine particle-particle and particle-molecule interactions. The online workshop was packed with a range of exciting lectures organized by the University of Rome, and treated effective potentials, self-assembly of patchy colloids, simulations methods and phase diagrams.
